Warranty Policy – Tibi Drum

Last updated: 14 May 2026

Lifetime Tuning Warranty
If your Tibi drum goes significantly out of tune, I’ll repair, recalibrate, or replace it.
For life.
↓ Full warranty terms below

1. Coverage
If the customer believes the instrument is out of tune, they may contact the manufacturer and provide an audio recording of the instrument.
The manufacturer will evaluate the tuning using its internal reference tuning system.
An instrument is eligible for warranty service if at least two distinct and acoustically independent notes consistently demonstrate a relative frequency deviation exceeding ±10% from the reference pitch. Measurements are performed using a digital pitch detection application under controlled recording conditions with a single-channel microphone input and no post-processing (A = 440 Hz reference)(1)
Final determination is made exclusively using the manufacturer’s reference tuning system.(2)

2. Service condition
If eligible, the manufacturer may repair, recalibrate, or replace the instrument at its sole discretion.

3. Shipping
The customer is responsible for shipping costs in both directions:
  • sending the original instrument to the manufacturer
  • receiving the repaired, recalibrated, or replacement instrument
Shipping method, carrier, and service level are determined by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not responsible for loss or damage during shipping.
Small tonal differences caused by recording devices, microphones, room acoustics, or playing technique are not considered defects.(3)

4. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
  • Scratches, dents, or damage from normal use
  • Damage, detachment, tearing, or excessive wear of the protective rubber edge trim
  • Discoloration, oxidation, or rust occurring over time
  • Any unauthorized modification or disassembly of the instrument
  • Removal of the wooden bottom cover
  • Minor tonal variation within specified tolerance is considered normal and does not qualify for warranty service.
Warranty coverage may be denied if the instrument shows signs of severe impact damage, misuse, abnormal environmental conditions or usage conditions, or intentional misuse affecting tuning stability.

5. Measurement disclaimer
Measurements may vary depending on recording device, microphone quality, recording environment, and acoustic conditions. In case of discrepancy between measurement methods, the manufacturer’s reference tuning system shall prevail.

(1) Relative frequency deviation measured in Hertz (Hz), not subjective auditory perception.
(2) The reference tuning system is based on a calibrated internal reference instrument.
(3) The manufacturer is not responsible for measurement discrepancies caused by recording devices, audio compression, or environmental noise.

6. Additional terms
  • Proof of purchase may be required for warranty service.
  • This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
  • The manufacturer reserves the right to update or modify this warranty policy at any time without prior notice.
  • The manufacturer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the instrument.
